Sensei Mark Poole, 1st Dan (Black Belt) and UKCC Level 2 Club Coach, also started Judo under the direction of John at Haddington Judo Club. When he moved to Peebles at the age of 9 with his parents, he began training with Colin at Peebles Judo Club. He has continued to practice constantly and is one of the club's key competitive players.  Mark continued to develop his judo at Glasgow clubs while studying at Uni and made the long trip home to Peebles every week to coach the first two classes until being employed in 2011 as a full time Judo coach for Destination Judo. He graduated with a degree in Sports management from Caledonian University, Glasgow in late 2011 and continues to develop his Judo through competition and helps out at Peebles when he can.
